Birth Team
For thirty years, I've worked with women drawn to the choice of homebirth. Overtime, I've worked with women, who have become dedicated to this vocation. I have shared my experience and they have assisted me in their pursuit of this advocation. I am currently working with one such woman.
MEET PAM
"It's a pleasure to work with someone that I trust personally, spiritually, and professionally. We are a team for you and your family. Pam is very capable, I trust her to answer any questions or concerns. If there would be two labors at one time or a family emergency: I would not hesitate to pass care over to her, as we share the same high standards."

Pam's Background
My journey to become a midwife began in 1975, after vicariously experiencing pregnancy and birth through a friend.
In 1981 I had my eldest daughter in the hospital and while not horrible, it was an awakening.
I began labor coaching for acquaintances in local hospitals in 1986. Through my experiences I became militant and was fueled to educate myself.
We birthed our son at home in the spring of 1986, with Ginnie in attendance. Drawing from her well of wisdom and using lots of patience Ginnie challenged my attitudes, and encouraged me in a new direction.
Our third child, a daughter, was born in the winter of 1987 without the assistance of a midwife. While I am truly thankful God honored our faith in Him and the birth process He created, I now realize it was too great a responsibility to put on my husband. We were not familiar with the normal variability of birth, and my husband had real fears I would hemorrhage. He did call Ginnie and she talked him through what he thought was too heavy a flow after the placenta was delivered.
Soon I began attending home births as an assistant to Ginnie. I have been part of her preventative care of women and their families, and I embrace it. It has been good to take time to develop a broader perspective of birth. Keen observation and assessment of Mom and baby are the best ways to manage situations, and will lead to the best medical, spiritual, and emotional outcome for all involved.
Our youngest daughter was born in the fall of 1993 in the presence of her siblings, grandmother, aunt, and of course Ginnie.
My education has been informal, and hands on. At present I have attended 412 births, and until 3 years ago, I only assisted. I am now also doing primary care, continuing my informal education, and working on my CPM as I write this.
I am blessed to be a woman, and have the ministry of motherhood to four wonderful people. I have been privileged to learn and work with Ginnie for these 15years. I am honored to partake in the personal details of prenatal care, birth and the sacred life passage of babies. I hold in high esteem the calling of midwifery and will always do my best to keep homebirth safe.
